What you'll need:

1 Whole Tilapia

1 jar of Joyof jollof sauce

1 tsp Smoked paprika

1 tsp Garlic powder

½ tsp Salt 

½ tsp Black pepper 

1. Choose Your Cooking Method

Oven: Preheat to 200°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Or air fryer: Preheat to 180°C.

2. Prep the Fish

Clean and descale the tilapia, then pat it dry with a paper towel. Use a sharp knife to cut diagonal slits on both sides of the fish.

3. Season & Marinate

In a bowl, mix spices, salt, and pepper. Rub the spice mix, and 200g of Joyof Jollof Sauce all over the fish, making sure to get into the slits. Let the fish marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for maximum flavour.

4. Cook the Fish

Oven Method: Place the fish on the prepared tray and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.

Air Fryer Method: Place the fish in the air fryer basket and cook at 180°C for 20-25 minutes.

5. Final Jollof Glaze

With 5 minutes left, brush the fish with the remaining Joyof Jollof Sauce for a rich, flavourful finish.

Joyof Tip

Serve hot with rice, plantains, or fresh salad. Dig in and enjoy the smoky, spicy goodness! For extra smoky goodness, grill the fish on BBQ.
